These past couple of weeks have been getting harder.  I have been slacking a little bit with my exercise and my eating habits.  I havent been too bad, but I have been giving into temptations a little too easily.  I really do wish I had a work out buddy.  I havent found a person in my family who will workout with my and all my close friends live in different towns.  I will just have to stay strong with self motivation and I guess that is the best motivation of all.  I did hit my twenty pound loss last week which was amazing.  I will continue to work hard and I do thank all of you for the comments and support online.  If any of you are trying to lose weight too please leave me messages of your progress and struggles as well.  Thanks.

Today is a month since I started this new lifestyle and I am feeling good about it.  I have had a few hard days when I wanted to eat everything is sight but I am working on my will power and it is getting better each day.  I have also started to figure out how to eat the foods I love but in a healthier way. 

Today I made Pita Pizza.  It is made with Whole Wheat Pita, Pizza Sauce, Cheese and Pepperoni.  The entire pizza is 365 calories and it was filling.

I am also continuing to use my walking workout tapes and going to the track.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Everyone!!

I hope you are all having lovely days with your family and remembering the reason we celebrate this day! :)

Yesterday I spent about 12 hours at the Spokane Convention Center watching Quirino wrestle for state.  He did not place but did an amazing job!!

I am now down 15 pounds from my starting weight!! That is insane!! :) I am so proud of myself and as I work harder each day and see results it makes me want to push even harder.  Since today is Easter and of course the house will be filled with yummy food, my goal is to eat small amounts of eveything I like and eat slowly so my body will realize right away when I am full.

Moving into week three!

Today I have started my third week of this new lifestyle and I am doing pretty well.  I have lost 10 lbs so far and am so motivated.  My elliptical is messed up so today I didnt use it very much so I decided to take a walk outside.  It was raining but I didnt care, I did it anyway and it was so fun! In the past I would have never done that but I am in such a different mind set now! If you have any other fun workout ideas please share :)

This weekend we are going to Almira Coulee Hartline for Quirino's wrestling.  I have enjoyed watching him so much this season.  He works so hard and does so well for only wrestling for a few months.  :)

I am also trying to plan a fun "staycation" for myself, mom, Audra and the kids for next week.  Im thinking Mini Golf in Moses, playing at the park and having a picnic and then maybe camping in a tent in our backyard.  If you have any fun ideas please share those as well. :)

Yesterday was a week since I started this new lifestyle and I have lost 6 pounds so far!!  I just keep thinking back to all those times I tried to diet and I failed after just 2 or 3 days and I notice how much different my attempt is now.  First, I am sharing this adventure with others, I have so much support from so many people and I understand so much more about what I should eat and how much I should eat.  I am loving this so much and I do believe I can do this forever.  :)

On another note, I am throwing Quirino a pirate birthday this weekend and I cannot wait!  I have been collected decorations and goodies all year so I am excited to put them all up.  I am also going to take some of his old jeans and a plain t-shirt and cut them up to look like scrubby pirate clothes.  I will take pictures to show you all.

Day in Tri-Cities and Other Rambles

Today I went to Tricities with my Mom and Brooklynn to do some grocery shopping.  To fight temptation my Mom and I packed our own lunch of turkey sandwiches and grapes.  It was hard though! Every restaurant I passed I wanted to eat at, but I didn't stop.  I went to the grocery store and then ate my packed lunch on the way home. 

Some of the items I picked up while shopping were fruit, veges, progresso soup, yogurt, cottage cheest, trail mix, wheat pasta and cheese sticks. 

I also bought a food scale for my kitchen to help me weight out certain types of food.  I am pretty excited about that!! I also bought my own popcicle maker.  I made raspberry crystal light popcicles with real fruit mixed in!!

Tonight for dinner I had Pasta Alfredo with chicken and broccoli!! So good!!! I also had a Yoplait yogurt in the flavor Orange Creme. 

For the next two days I am subbing in Quirino's class which should be pretty fun!  He said he has some students in his class who dont like to listen, so we will see! LOL! I am going to plan tomorrow's lunch tonight so it will be ready in the morning.  I try to plan ahead so I don't just grab something unhealthy to eat. 

My workouts are still going good and I am stayed motivated.  I have lost 2 pounds so far and cannot wait to keep losing.  Thank you for reading.

These last two days have been great.  Yesterday I subbed half day in second grade.  The kids were good, a little talkative but nothing crazy.  I did get a dirty look and a "whatever" from the librarian for bringing the kids in through the wrong door for library time.  I didn't know which door to use, there wasnt a "use other door" sign telling me where to go!! LOL!!! Today I subbed for Middle School Math.  I was somewhat nervous because I stink at Math but the kids just took tests all day.  :)

I am having a great evening tonight.  My uncle is here from Newport, WA and his friend from Pennsylvania is also visiting us.  She is so much fun and loves taking pictures of everything, just like me!!

Tomorrow I am going to Quirino's wrestling tournament in Moses Lake.  He is doing great this season and working his tail off to do his best!! I have prepared myself for a day of being around unhealthy food.  I bought nature valley bars and there is a Subway near the school, so I think my lunch will be a Turkey Sandwich from there.

I have kept up my workouts these past two days!! I am walking 30 minutes, doing a 5 minute ab workout and lifting 2.5 pound weights for 10 minutes.  I have also been trying to eat my food slower.  I believe its true that if you eat slower it gives time for your brain and stomach to realize you are full and you will not eat as much. 

I have also started a profile of LoseIt.com, which is an amazing site! You can count the calories for every food you eat and how many calories you burn from your workouts.  Thank you so much Sam for telling me about it!!
